Terms of Use & Conditions

Welcome to Star Laundry Club

By using our services—including self-service laundromats, drop-off wash & fold, pickup & delivery, dry cleaning and specialty care (where available), alterations (where available), and commercial laundry services—you agree to these Terms of Use & Conditions (“Terms”). Please read them carefully before using any Star Laundry Club services.

1. Services Usage

Star Laundry Club provides laundry-related services that may include self-service machines, wash & fold, pickup & delivery, commercial laundry services, dry cleaning and specialty item cleaning, and alterations/tailoring (availability varies by location). Customers must follow all posted instructions, safety rules, machine guidelines, and any reasonable verbal instructions provided by staff. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for safety reasons, policy violations, abusive behavior, or operational necessity.

2. Payment & Pricing

Pricing is displayed in-store and/or online and may vary by location, service type, item type, weight, and turnaround options (including same-day service where offered). Payment must be made using accepted payment methods for the location and service selected. Commercial pricing, route service, specialty items, and unusual handling requests may require a quote and will be communicated prior to processing. Unpaid, late, or disputed balances may result in paused or refused service until resolved.

3. Customer Responsibilities

  • Pockets & contents: Customers are responsible for checking all pockets and removing valuables and prohibited items before washing or drop-off.
  • Special instructions: Customers must notify us of any special care needs (delicates, fragrance-free, cold wash, hang dry, stain concerns, etc.).
  • Proper use of machines: Self-service customers must use machines as instructed and not overload equipment.
  • Labeling: For drop-off and pickup & delivery, customers should bag items securely and label or separate items when needed (e.g., dry cleaning vs. wash & fold; uniforms by department).
  • Prohibited items: Items contaminated with hazardous materials (e.g., chemicals, gasoline, oil-soaked rags, biohazards, sharp objects) are not accepted. We may refuse or return such items unprocessed.

4. Garment Care, Results & Liability

We take reasonable steps to clean and care for your items. However, laundry and textile care can involve risks due to fabric type, age, prior wear, manufacturer defects, hidden damage, embellishments, colorfastness, and stains.

  • No guarantee on stains: Some stains, discoloration, shrinkage, or wear may be permanent or unavoidable.
  • Care labels & instructions: We rely on garment care labels and customer instructions; missing or incorrect labels may affect outcomes.
  • Limits of liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Star Laundry Club’s liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service performed on the affected item(s). We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including lost profits or business interruption).
  • Claims window: Concerns about missing or damaged items must be reported within 5 business days of pickup/delivery or customer pickup.

5. Pickup & Delivery Terms

  • Scheduling: Pickup and delivery times are scheduled in advance and may be adjusted due to weather, traffic, staffing, holidays, or operational issues.
  • Access & instructions: Customers are responsible for providing accurate pickup/drop-off information (address, building access, delivery notes). Failed pickups or deliveries due to incorrect information may result in delays and/or additional fees.
  • Unclaimed items: Items not claimed within 30 days after notice of completion (or after a missed delivery/pickup) may be considered abandoned, and we may donate, recycle, or dispose of them as permitted by law.
  • Safety & refusal: We may refuse pickup or return items unprocessed if items present safety risks, violate these Terms, or cannot be handled safely.

6. Commercial Laundry Terms

Commercial accounts may have customized schedules, pricing, processing instructions, and delivery routing. Businesses are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate volume estimates and communicating changes in demand (events, seasonal peaks, staffing changes).
  • Clearly separating and labeling items by department/location as needed to maintain order accuracy.
  • Notifying Star Laundry Club of special fabric requirements, branded items, or items requiring special handling.

7. Website Use & Intellectual Property

All content on the Star Laundry Club website and marketing materials—including logos, branding, text, images, videos, and service descriptions— is owned by Star Laundry Club or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website with a revised effective date. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state where the Star Laundry Club services are provided to you, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be handled in the appropriate courts located in that state, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
